Introduction
Some evidence show that Magnesium-loss occurs in the condition of sympathetic-nerve stimulus. Here I present some related evidences known.
In case of coffee
Some evidence show Coffee containing Caffeine cause the minerals (Magnesium and Calcium) depletion, e.g. Kynast-Gales1994.
In case of Methylphenidate
Methylphenidate(MPH), known as the product name Concerta, is actually a kind of sympathetic nerve stimulant. It is reported(e.g. this) that the stimulant cause growth disorders. Possibly the mineral like Calcium and Magnesium depletion affects the kids growth.
In case of Cola
It is reported that Cola which is known that it is containing a few amount of Caffeine, regular intake cause less bone mineral density, according to Tucker2006.
Stress related Magnesium depletion
Some evidence shows that the cortisol-modulated stress reaction causes the Magnesium depletion via intracellular, serum, to urine cascade reactions according to Pickering2020. Needless to say, the sympathetic nerve stimulus causes the stress reaction-like biochemical phenomenon in human body. Note: what I’ve recommended is those who take any amount of caffeine-containing beverage should take Magnesium supplements, with like tablets equivalent to 400mg Mg or Nigari-form MgCl2 aqueous solution.
Conclusion
It is recommended that those who consume any amount of sympathetic nerve stimulus should supplement Magnesium. Considering the bio-availability, Magnesium compounds like Magnesium-glycinate or Magnesium-citrate are preferable.
